Mackenzie Davenport is a director, writer, and producer based in New York City.

In 2021 he founded Ensemble, a platform for artists to release digital ephemera from their creative process, such as sketches and storyboards. 

As a theatre director, he co-founded Silicon Prairie Theatre in 2016 in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he directed its’ productions, for which he recieved a Mayor’s Arts Award. As a student at Nebraska Wesleyan University he directed Caligula (2019), The Rest in Power (2020), and The Bald Soprano (2021), which was a part of the university’s main stage season.

Mackenzie creates video essays on contemporary theatre, aiming to create a stronger international theatre community online. His video ‘How Robert Wilson Bends Time’ was featured in the Legacy of Robert Wilson conference in 2024, co-hosted by the Segal Theatre Center & Wilson’s Watermill Center.
