Mackenzie Davenport is a director, writer, and curator based in New York City.
In 2021 he founded Ensemble, a platform for artists to release digital ephemera from their creative process, such as sketches and storyboards. In 2025 Ensemble was acquired by Transient Labs, where Mackenzie continues on as creative producer and curator.
As a theatre director, he co-founded Silicon Prairie Theatre in 2016 in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he directed its’ productions, recieving a Mayor’s Arts Award. As a student at Nebraska Wesleyan University he directed Caligula (2019), The Rest in Power (2020), and The Bald Soprano (2021), which was a part of the university’s main stage season. In 2025 he directed The Terrorist Jonah Levy, written by Jack Buchanan, and Starquest, a performance lecture by artist Maya Man, performed in New York and Los Angeles.
He curated ‘Net Evil’ a group exhibition for Feral File in August of 2025.
Mackenzie creates video essays on contemporary theatre, aiming to create a stronger international theatre community online. His video ‘How Robert Wilson Bends Time’ was featured in the Legacy of Robert Wilson conference in 2024, co-hosted by the Segal Theatre Center & Wilson’s Watermill Center.
