Homegrown Theatre Camp is a digital arts education program for students created with Blixt Locally Grown, with the support of the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, Nebraska Arts Council and more.
I teamed up with filmmaker Sasha Sepahpur to create the videos and learning resources. Homegrown Theatre camp is available for free, allowing any young person to have an arts experience in their home.
Our instructional videos have received thousands of views, and are used in classrooms across the world, even becoming official parts of class curriculum in Australia, Texas, California and more!
Homegrown Theatre Camp was expanded into an extended learning opportunity program with Beyond School Bells, giving students in schools across Nebraska the chance to learn through theatre.
We've created 5 complete digital camps, Sword in the Stone, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Treasure Island, and The Mitten. Our camps are and always will be available, so if you or someone you know is looking to learn and make theatre at home, check out homegrowntheatrecamp.org
